Despite injury, Midway loved...

 SHEPHERDSVILLE – Bullitt Central senior Kristen Collins finding her way to Midway College to play women’s basketball had a few hurdles before it all became official recently.

     First, Collins suffered a serious knee injury during a holiday tournament and did not play the rest of the season for the Lady Cougars. Second, Midway switched coaches after an eight-win season.

 HEBRON ESTATES – Family is important to North Bullitt senior Caitlin Montgomery and that was a big reason that she has decided to continue her basketball career at Spalding University in Louisville.

Not only are the Golden Eagles close to home, but they also had the feel of being at home from Montgomery’s perspective.

Montgomery also had looked into playing at St. Catharine, but in the end felt that Spalding was the best option for her.

NB's Stice decides to stay...

 HEBRON ESTATES – Extending her basketball career beyond her senior season was not something that North Bullitt’s Reba Stice had really considered until this past holiday season.

That is when Spalding University head coach Charlie Just started making contact with Stice and her family. After a little consideration, Stice decided that playing some more basketball while attending college was not a bad idea.

Thanks to Boy Scout troop

 On behalf of myself Jimmy Waters and the community of Lebanon Junction I would like to recognize and thank the Boy Scout Troop 0685 for the group effort put forward on cleaning up and restoring a cemetery located at the corner of 139 Hillcrest Avenue, Lebanon Junction Family Cemetery of Stark’s and Thompson families.

The Boy Scouts and family together cleaned both inside and outside of cemetery and reset headstones, cut trees, pained iron fence and built new benches on site for a complete makeover and a much needed restoration of the cemetery.
