SHEPHERDSVILLE -- James Poyner is a scout leader.
He’s not a politician.
And he doesn’t understand why after at least 10 years of occupying space in the Shepherdsville Community Center, he is suddenly having to protect his scout members.
“I don’t understand what we’ve done,” said Poyner.
Last Monday, mayor Curtis Hockenbury broke a 3-3 tie to turn the community center over to the city’s public works department, which is in need of more space and facilities such as rest rooms.
