     By 7 p.m. last night, Hudson had tendered his resignation as constable of the Second District.

     Hudson’s second case in the past year on drug-related charges will now be in the hands of the Bullitt County Grand Jury.

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - The statistics about underage drinking in Bullitt County are overwhelming.

According to the 2012-2013 Kentucky Incentives for Prevention student survey, 37 percent of 12th graders drink at home, 64 percent of 12th graders drink at a party and 69 percent of those same students drink at a friend’s home.

However, the statistics only tell part of the story.

 The 2013 Bullitt County Fair takes place June 17-22 at the intersection of Hwy. 245 and I-65. Rides, live entertainment and plenty of food available. Silence deafening after court...

 SHEPHERDSVILLE – Vivian Adams took the podium and began her speech to Bullitt Fiscal Court about the pursuit of excellence in government.

     But, by the end of the conversation, talks returned to comments by one magistrate about the operations of another elected official and the re-emergence of the age-old game of boys versus girls.

     During the quarterly nighttime meeting of fiscal court, Adams talked about her concerns over the lack of proper funding for county attorney Monica Robinson’s office.

 HILLVIEW - In an effort to encourage men to keep their bodies tuned-up like their cars, the Bullitt County Coalition for Recreation, Education and Wellness (C.R.E.W.) is sponsoring The Guys’ Full Body Tune-Up.

VFW, Auxiliary install officers

 The Bullitt County Memorial VFW Post 5710 recently elected officers for the 2013-14 year.

Danny Morrison will again be the commander, with Joe McIntosh serving as senior vice and Chris Bogacki as junior vice. Mike Bishop will be quartermaster with Dave Berry as chaplain and Buddy Waters as a three-year trustee. Mark Hall is the surgeon and David Dunford will be judge advocate.
