 SHEPHERDSVILLE - No students injured after a Bullitt County school bus was involved in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon.

Bus number 83 was traveling southbound at the 400 block of Oak Grove Blvd. when it was struck by a 2006 Kia headed northbound, according to Shepherdsvile Police Sgt. Ken Proffitt.

The accident occurred around 2:45 p.m.

Four Bullitt Central students were on the bus, along with the driver. Bullitt County Pubilc Schools transportation director Staci Goedde said no injuries were reported.

 HEBRON ESTATES - Bullitt County residents are familiar with two big event each May.

One is on the first Saturday, the Kentucky Derby. The other is the annual Relay for Life, hosted by the American Cancer Society, scheduled for May 17 at North Bullitt High School.

For over 20 years local teams of individual families and businesses gather together to donate funds, walk the track and socialize. Most important, they all show up to honor local cancer survivors and their caregivers.

 SHEPHERDSVILLE – Last year, the Bullitt County Public School System spent over $497,000 to long-term subs under the current pay scale.
