SHEPHERDSVILLE - After retiring from 25 years of service with the state in February, Michael Freeman, 53, finally had the opportunity to pursue his lifelong dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Few have completed the 2,179 mile trek from Georgia to Maine, however, Danny McGeorge, said that wasn’t about to deter his stepson from accomplishing his lofty goal.
“He talked about it since he was a scout,” McGeorge said.
