     Years ago if you had some kind of disease it was difficult to treat because they did not have the medicine to treat it with.

     My dad believed in the Lord. He read the Bible all the time. You could ask him anything in the Bible and he could tell you about it. He would turn the pages and show you and tell you about it also.

    My mother and dad were church-going people. They even bought their own seat that had their name on it in church. They went to the same church until they died. Some time the church was so full of people you had trouble finding a seat, especially on Mother’s or Father’s Day.

They came home from church and their house had burned down. There was not enough insurance to cover the house plus the contents in the house. They had to live in a tent until dad built a house to live in.

     My name is Robert Huff. I will always remember my mother, not only on “Mother’s Day” but every day. She was a wonderful mother, wife to my dad, a friend to all people she came in contact with. She was always there to give help to anyone who needed help. My mother and dad were God-fearing people. When the church doors opened they were there and I might add that we children went to church together and were baptized.

    Honoring Joseph Greenwell

     Master Chief Joseph Robert Greenwell, Jr. graduated from Bullitt Central High School, Shepherdsville, Kentucky in June of 1976. After trying to major in Mathematics at University of Kentucky and working as an Ironworker prior to enlisting in the United States Navy on 16 August 1981 under the delayed entry program and entered Recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois on 11 January 1982.
