Bullitt County Shooting Sports began in 1993 with just a rifle team. Today we shoot Archery on Monday nights at Chickasaw Archery Club from 6-8:30 p.m.
Zoneton Middle School hosted the second annual V Foundation basketball tournament to raise funds for the Jimmy V Foundation.
The goal of $5,000 was exceeded in the tournament that featured teams from throughout the region.
There was a silent auction and tournament items were sold.
The tipoff speech was delivered by Scott Davenport, head coach of the Bellarmine Knights, who won the national title last year.

MOUNT WASHINGTON - The last time that Eastside and Zoneton seventh-grade teams had met on the basketball court, it had taken a shot at the buzzer in overtime for the Eagles to pull out a victory.
The Kentucky Chargers, an 11U traveling football team made up of Bullitt County youngsters, won the 2011 Bourbon City Bowl and the 2011 Thanksgiving Throwdown by a total score of 191-39.
HILLVIEW - The Hillview Police and Zoneton Fire Departments from the city of Hillview recently went to battle against each other on the basketball floor.
The event was all in the name of charity as the proceeds will be used to fund the Operation Santa and the Crusade for Children.
The game took place at the Hillview Community Center court.
BERNHEIM - Pulling away in the second half, the Eastside Lady Eagles won the 'B' title on Thursday in the Girls Bullitt County Middle School Tournament which was played at Bernheim Middle School.
The title was just the second ever for the Lady Eagles at this level as they beat the Mount Washington Lady Generals 30-14.
The Girls' Middle School Basketball Tournament was sponsored by Schmid Funeral Home as well as The Awards Center and The Pioneer News.
