MOUNT WASHINGTON - What was supposed to be an interesting night of basketball with some past University of Louisville players put together by former Cardinal Earl Clark to benefit the Greater Louisville Youth for Christ organization took on epic portions last Friday when Clark at the last minute was able to get his Orlando Magic teammate and All-NBA center Dwight Howard to participate.
Nicknamed ‘Superman’, the 7-foot Howard stole the show with his power on the court and radiant smile.

Deciding to start the season on the earliest date ever, Aug. 6 (a day earlier than last year), the league is well aware of the heat and humidity that that can sock it to the Ohio Valley in August.
The final youth hoops camp of the summer was conducted recently at Zoneton Middle School under the direction of head coach Casey Bannon.
There were over 70 young campers on hand for four days of basketball, basketball and more basketball. Each day of the camp had a theme including a ‘Wild Hair Day.’
FRANKLIN - Scoring five runs in the first two innings, the Blue Lick 14 All-Stars collected the program’s fourth state tournament in the past 16 years.
