  • Raymer’s blast lifts BE past Holy Cross

LOUISVILLE – The toughest draw possible? Not a problem for the Bullitt East Lady Chargers.

  • One big frame fuels Chargers to victory

LOUISVILLE – When you pitch shutouts, it’s hard to lose a baseball game.

  • Cold bats haunt Central softball

LOUISVILLE – Cold bats are never a good thing when the weather turns hot.

  • Exton strong but Eagles falter 1-0

LOUISVILLE – A single run in the top of the fifth inning was the only offense in the game on Monday as Jeffersontown knocked off North Bullitt in the first round of the Sixth Region Baseball Tournament at Eastern High School.

  • Panthers jump on BC early and roll

LOUISVILLE – G.J. Moore does not like to lose. And he was not pleased with the way his team closed out the season with a 15-0 loss to Pleasure Ridge Park.

  • Mercy nips Bullitt East 4-3 in 12 classic innings

MOUNT WASHINGTON – Not even Mother Nature could stop a classic high school softball game.

Both teams will advance to the Sixth Region tournament, which opens play on Monday, May 27.

  • Eagles snap drought with win over BC

OKOLONA – In a dogfight for the school’s first district baseball title in 10 years, veteran North Bullitt skipper Brian Wise went into his bag of surprises.

While not particularly fond of the notion of a squeeze bunt with the bases loaded and a lefty at the plate, Wise felt he had to do something in the 1-1 game on Tuesday.

And, after the play worked once, he decided to do it again.
