  • Chargers rally from a poor first half to win

     MOUNT STERLING – Even the best basketball teams have a bad half every now and then.

  • Lady Eagles split two key contests

     HEBRON ESTATES – It was a tale of various outcomes for the North Bullitt Lady Eagles in recent contests.

    Last Thursday, the green and gold made a return trip to South Oldham to take on the Lady Dragons, a team that they had lost to 54-51 in the first game of the Lady Dragon Hoop Fest, a holiday tournament just before Christmas.

  • Central picks up first district win

          SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt Central Cougars picked up their first victory of the season in 23rd District play on Wednesday when the maroon and gray traveled up I-65 and defeated Evangel 51-43.

         With games still remaining against Moore and Southern in February, the Cougars now stand 1-1 in the games that will be used to seed the upcoming tournament which will be played at North Bullitt.

  • East sweeps past district rival Fern Creek

          FERN CREEK - It took a few minutes for the Bullitt East Chargers to get their Kentucky Legs back under themselves after spending five days in Missouri, but once they did on Tuesday, the red and gold cruised past 24th District rival Fern Creek 60-40.

         The win was the 18th this season for the Chargers who have only one loss against a team from Kentucky.

  • BC teams suffer a long weekend

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - The two Bullitt Central programs put some mileage on the buses over the weekend and even played on a holiday, but the results were all the same as the two teams combined to lose three games over the weekend.

    On Saturday, Bullitt Central traveled to East Jessamine High School for a Coaches vs. Cancer event. The Cougars were no match for the home team as they lost 80-51.

  • Early setback slows Chargers’ Missouri trip

     MOUNT WASHINGTON - For the second time this season, the Bullitt East Chargers went on the road and again the road hit back as the red and gold dropped the opening game in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Missouri.

  • North’s perfect week

     HEBRON ESTATES - The North Bullitt Lady Eagles continued an impressive January rise last week as they picked up three more wins with two of those coming against foes with winning records.

  • Cougars shift gears-literally-in three days

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - After a series of frighteningly bad offensive showings this season, Bullitt Central head coach Joe Pat Lee decided after the team scored 40 points in a loss to North Bullitt, that the pace had to pick up.

  • BE, NB split games at PRP

     LOUISVILLE – Coming off perhaps their worst performance of the season four nights earlier in a lopsided loss to Mercy, the Bullitt East Lady Chargers bounced back with a strong effort on Saturday, beating LaRue County 64-45 in the Shooting for the Cure Showcase at Pleasure Ridge Park High School.
