     HEBRON ESTATES - For the second Friday night in a row, the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars battled through serious foul trouble.

  • Lady Chargers split two

      MOUNT WASHINGTON - After a poor performance earlier in the week in a loss to Butler, the Bullitt East Lady Chargers bounced back with two much better showings around the weekend.

  • BE douses Dragons’ fire

     MOUNT WASHINGTON - Just three days after South Oldham had connected on 19 three-pointers and scored 109 points against Shelby County, the Bullitt East Chargers held the Dragons to six three-pointers in a 78-52 victory.

     HEBRON ESTATES - Throughout the pre-season, Bullitt Central head coach Joe Pat Lee was telling anyone who would listen, that his Cougars had three players who could ‘go-off’ and score 30 points in a game this season.

  • Asbury honored by Kentucky Football Coaches' Association

    North Bullitt senior Todd Asbury was recently named the Kentucky Football Coaches’ Association Class 5-A Player of the Year after rushing for a school record 2,168 yards in 12 games.

    Asbury received his award during the Class 5-A Championship Game held at Western Kentucky University on Dec. 3.

    Joining Asbury at the game was North Bullitt head coach Brett Newton, Asbury and assistant coaches Don Biggs and Timmy Ridley.

  • BC splits two with Holy Cross

        SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt Central offense was in high gear on Tuesday as the senior-dominated Cougars crushed visiting Holy Cross 95-73.
        The offensive explosion was the most points scored by a Bullitt Central team since the team suffered a 106-99 loss to Hart County on Dec. 27, 2003, but that game had four overtimes. The last time the Cougars exceeded 95 points in a regulation game came on Dec. 1, 2000 when coach James Hurley's team beat Walden 99-60.

  • BE girls run into a buzzsaw at Butler

        LOUISVILLE - At the end of each of the past two basketball seasons, Bullitt East and Butler have met in the championship game of the Sixth Region Tournament.
        On Tuesday, the teams met for the first time since the Bearettes turned back the Lady Chargers 40-39 at Bellarmine University's Knights Hall.
        While Bullitt East is rebuilding, that is not the case for Butler. The two-time defending Sixth Region champions were in mid-season form on their home court as they swamped the Lady Chargers 50-26.
