  • Federated Auto Parts 200 ARCA Race at Salem Speedway

     SALEM, IN - The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is heading home, or so it may feel anyway.

    When the 63-year-old stock car tour converges on the small, southern Indiana city of Salem, Indiana, it will mark the 97th appearance at Salem since debuting on the historic half-mile oval in 1955. Over the years, no track has appeared on ARCA's annual schedule more than Salem.  

    The Federated Auto Parts ARCA 200 is set for Sunday at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery.

  • 2015 Salem Speedway season kicks off April 12

     SALEM, Ind. - Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery kicks-off it’s 69th year of existence on Sunday, April 12th, with four-divisions sharing the famed racing facility for an afternoon of on-track action.

    The season opening event features the Lucas Oil Great American Stocks and Midwest Thunder Roadsters on the half-mile high banks, with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks competing on the quarter-mile infield oval.

  • Short-track championships at Salem Speedway Aug. 17

     SALEM, Ind. – Championships and final season standings will be on the line when racing returns to the Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery infield short-track on Sunday afternoon, August 17th.  The Short-Track Championship event marks the final points race of the year for both the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and the Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks.

  • 2014 Salem Speedway season kicks off April 6

     SALEM, IN, – Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery kicks-off its 68th year on Sunday afternoon, April 6th with the ICA Dumpsters Short-Track Festival.

    The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks are set to share the track for a full slate of racing action, including the first ever front wheel drive figure 8 race at Salem.

  • Salem Speedway 2014 pre-season test and tune

     SALEM, IN, March 14 – A pre-season test & tune session on both the infield short-track and the half-mile high banked oval is set for Saturday, March 22nd at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery reports track management.

    The three-hour practice session is open to all Salem divisions and any traveling series scheduled to compete at Salem during the 2014 season.  PNC pit gates are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., with practice getting underway at 12-noon.

  • Champions honored at 2013 Salem Speedway closing ceremony

     SALEM, Ind. – Track champions were crowned and numerous other honors were handed out at the 25th annual Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery Awards Ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

    Over 150 drivers, owners, mechanics, sponsors and guests gathered at Cornerstone Hall in Salem for the season ending event.  The top 10 finishers in all three Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery divisions were among the honorees.

  • Jimmie Johnson Wins 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship

     DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jimmie Johnson took another step closer to stock car racing history on Sunday, claiming his sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway.

    Johnson, who entered the race with a 28-point lead over 2003 series champion Matt Kenseth, finished ninth in the Ford EcoBoost 400, putting his final margin over Kenseth at 19 points.
