  • Kimmel's Salem stats endure, but winless since '08

     (TOLEDO, Ohio) - If nine national championships in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards aren't enough, Frank Kimmel's Salem Speedway stats we'll surely get your attention.

    With the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Crosley Radio coming April 27-28, Kimmel will be making his 39th ARCA start on the historic southern Indiana short track, long considered his home track having grown up in nearby Clarksville, Indiana - bout a half hour down the road.

  • Salem Speedway begins 67th season April 7

      SALEM, IN, April 1 – Salem Speedway kicks-off its 67th year on Sunday afternoon, April 7th with four different divisions visiting the quarter-mile infield oval for the season opening Taco Bell/Pizza Hut Express Short-Track Festival.

    The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks, Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks and the FAST Series Legends Cars and Bandoleros are set to share the track for a full slate of racing action.

  • Pre-season Test and Tune scheduled Mar. 23 at Salem Speedway

     SALEM, IN, March 15 – A pre-season test & tune session for both the Salem Speedway infield short-track and the half-mile high banked oval is set for Saturday, March 23rd reports track management.

    The three-hour practice session is open to all Salem Speedway divisions and any traveling series scheduled to compete at Salem during the 2013 season.  Pit gates are scheduled to open at 10 a.m., with practice getting underway at 12-noon.

    Spectators are invited to view the activities from the grandstand area at no charge.

  • 2013 Salem Speedway season tickets now selling

     SALEM, Ind. – Salem Speedway season tickets are currently selling for the 2013 racing season.  They are priced at just $170 for reserved seats and $140 for non-reserved seating.

    Season tickets are good for admission to all 2013 motorsports events at Salem Speedway, including the spring and fall ARCA races, the Joe James/Pat O’Connor Memorial sprint classic, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Midwest 150, the Firecracker 200, the Halloween 200 and much, much more.

     SALEM, Ind. - After taking three races off after the halfway point of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season and effectively removing himself from championship contention, Tom Hessert's goal was simple: Win.

    That's just what Hessert did in the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic presented by Federated Car Care at Salem Speedway, leading the final 78 laps for his second ARCA victory.

  • Buescher and Kimmel resume title battle on Saturday night at Salem Speedway

      SALEM, Ind. – With just three races remaining on the 2012 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule the annual fall visit to the high banks of Salem Speedway on Saturday is certainly significant for the drivers and teams that started the season back in February at Daytona International Speedway.

    After eight months and 17 races two drivers have emerged as the favorites to slug it out for the coveted ARCA title – local favorite and nine-time series champion Frank Kimmel of Clarksville, Ind., and young gun Chris Buescher of Prosper, Tex.
