        HEBRON ESTATES - Getting the attention of a college coach is paramount when it comes to being recruited, be it a head coach or an assistant coach.
        For North Bullitt senior Darian Davenport, she had an early inside track in that regard as former Lady Eagle assistant coach Mike Nally is now in his third season as an assistant coach at Indiana University Southeast. Davenport recently made the connection pay off when she signed to play for the Grenadiers starting next season.

        HEBRON ESTATES - You pretty much only get one opportunity to play college football and for North Bullitt senior Sam Deel, he didn't want to let that chance slip away.
        With that in mind, the big lineman signed recently to continue the sport starting in the fall at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky.

        SHEPHERDSVILLE - With an exciting combination of talented experience and fresh young talent, 2012 appears to be a banner year for area track teams in Bullitt County.
        At the high end, this is the second straight year that there are a pair of state champions returning to compete in the county. Bullitt East senior Trevor Troutman (discus) and North Bullitt sophomore Chelsey Slayton (800-meters) were at the top of their sports last season and will be working to duplicate those accomplishments.
