  • Friday Night - Deja Vu all over...

SHEPHERDSVILLE - When Bullitt Central dropped down to Class 5-A in 2009, the schedule makers got it right.

For the second year in a row, the title in District 3 will be on the line on the last night of district play as Bullitt Central heads to Radcliff for a showdown with powerful John Hardin. The Bulldogs, last year’s state runners-up in Class 5-A, are undefeated overall and both teams are 3-0 in district play.

  • Lady Eagles make it two straight...

SHEPHERDSVILLE - Two teams with newfound confidence collided on Wednesday at Bullitt Central in the second game of the season between the Lady Cougars and the North Bullitt Lady Eagles.

The first meeting belonged to the Lady Eagles and standout forward Halee Heltsley who scored three times in a 5-0 North Bullitt victory. In the rematch, Bullitt Central assigned senior Ashleigh Pollard to shadow Heltsley and the move worked to some degree.

Heltsley did score twice in the first half and then added a goal in the second half to propel North Bullitt to a 4-0 win.

SHEPHERDSVILLE - Bullitt Central head coach Danny Leasor has been around the block a few times as a high school football coach.

The veteran coach has learned that you can’t pull the wool over the eyes of the modern, internet savvy high school student. There is also the fact that the modern football player watches a lot of video of upcoming opponents.

  • NB volleyball earns top seed

HEBRON ESTATES - The North Bullitt Lady Eagles wrapped up the top-seed for the post-season district tournament on Tuesday with an impressive 25-19, 25-16 victory over Bullitt Central.

  • OT Success Story - East stuns...

MOUNT WASHINGTON - As overtimes go, the two plays that made up Bullitt East’s big finish on Friday could not have been drawn up any better, even by a Hollywood script writer or by Charger head coach Doug Preston.

On the very first play of the extra time, the Chargers handed the ball to senior fullback Matt Husband and he found a huge hole on the left side of the line and he dashed into the end zone, giving Bullitt East the lead for the first time in the game against district rival Marion County.

  • BE-BC finally play, but it is...

MOUNT WASHINGTON - The fourth time was the charm on Monday as Bullitt East and Bullitt Central finally met in a boys’ soccer match at the beginning of the final week of the regular season.
