      FRANKFORT - After having one of the top seeded players in the regional tennis tournament, Bullitt County tennis programs will be the underdogs when action opens Monday morning.
     The Eighth Region tournament will be contested at several sites in Frankfort with the winners advancing to the state classic in Lexington.
     The only seeded players from local schools will represent the Bullitt East Chargers. In fact, no local girl will be seeded in the singles and doubles action.

  • Hodge running all the way to...

     HEBRON ESTATES - Traveling to Campbellsville in the past for high school football 'bowl' games, North Bullitt senior Cody Hodge made his first contact with the town's college.
     That all turned into a positive for both Hodge and the school recently when the speedster signed to run track for the Tigers starting next year.
     Hodge still has a few big weeks left in his high school career, but his future is planned out at this point.

     That is the way the 2012 All-Bullitt County Track and Field Championships will have to be remembered after rain washed out the big meet last Monday an hour after it started. Because all three programs had meets scheduled for Thursday and North Bullitt and Bullitt East have regional finals on Tuesday of this week, there was no chance to reschedule the meet.
