  • Chargers cannot hold 27-7 lead,...

JEFFERSONTOWN - Ahead 27-7 when quarterback Anthony Doran and sophomore tight end Trent Meredith combined on a 47-yard touchdown pass with 4:14 remaining in the third quarter wasn't enough on Friday as the Jeffersontown Chargers rallied late to steal a 28-27 victory from Bullitt East.

  • Big pass play sinks Cougars...

GLASGOW - The Bullitt Central Cougars hit the road Friday night and the road hit back as the maroon and gray dropped a 28-7 decision to the Glasgow Scotties.

The game was deadlocked until midway through the third quarter when Glasgow quarterback Ryan Hinkley found a breakdown in the Bullitt Central secondary. The pass was on the money to wide receiver Garry Settles for a 32-yard touchdown.

That score put the Scotties up 13-7 and they never looked back.

  • Late surge, penalties fuel Eagle...

OKOLONA - By looking at the final score, it appeared the North Bullitt Eagles had an easy time Friday evening against the Southern Trojans.

However, there were some uncomfortable moments for the Eagles before putting away a penalty-prone host 36-13.

North Bullitt claimed its second straight victory of the season and, while not overjoyed, head coach Brett Newton saw bits and pieces of his young squad coming together.
