It was just a month ago that the two teams met on the same field. Bullitt Central played one of its worst halves of the season in falling behind 21-7, but then rallied to force overtime at 21-21. Only a missed extra point in the extra period gave Anderson County the 28-27 victory.

HEBRON ESTATES - The 29th District Volleyball Tournament got off the ground with an upset on Monday as the Bullitt East Lady Chargers rallied to beat top-seeded North Bullitt 12-25, 25-9, 25-19.

North Bullitt had beaten Bullitt East three times this season, but could not find the post-season magic that seems to still reside with the Lady Chargers. The Bullitt East program has now won 13 straight matches in district play and will go for a seventh straight district title on Wednesday when they take on Bullitt Central in the championship game.

SHEPHERDSVILLE - It took a little extra time to decide a winner in Saturday’s Little Bullitts’ Championship Game but that was just fine with the Overdale Chiefs.

Getting the ball first in the overtime period, the Chiefs scored on fourth down and then turned it over to the defense which stopped the Maryville Patriots at the 5-yard line on the final play of the game to secure the 19-13 victory.
