        SHEPHERDSVILLE - The old saying is that 'you can't tell the players without a program.'
        For this basketball season, you can't tell the districts...and region...without a map.
        For the first time ever, in sports not conducted by 'classes', the Bullitt County high schools will not all be playing in the same groupings. At this point that means separate districts.

        Despite the addition of traditional power Mercy to the Sixth Region, coach Bryan Bates' team is one of the frontrunners to challenge Butler and Mercy for control of the revamped region.

     HILLVIEW - The Hillview Police and Zoneton Fire Departments from the city of Hillview recently went to battle against each other on the basketball floor.

    The event was all in the name of charity as the proceeds will be used to fund the Operation Santa and the Crusade for Children.

    The game took place at the Hillview Community Center court.

  • 'B' team puts the...

        BERNHEIM - Pulling away in the second half, the Eastside Lady Eagles won the 'B' title on Thursday in the Girls Bullitt County Middle School Tournament which was played at Bernheim Middle School.
        The title was just the second ever for the Lady Eagles at this level as they beat the Mount Washington Lady Generals 30-14.
        The Girls' Middle School Basketball Tournament was sponsored by Schmid Funeral Home as well as The Awards Center and The Pioneer News.
