The Pioneer News is Bullitt County's community newspaper. Founded in 1882, The Pioneer News has had several name changes but one thing has never changed...its commitment to the community.

Standard Publishing prints over 8,500 copies of The Pioneer News every Monday and Wednesday. Both Standard Publishing and The Pioneer News are part of Landmark Community Newspapers, Inc. and are located at 455 N. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville.

The Pioneer News covers Bullitt County events. It contains a mixture of news and features, including a large amount of school coverage. A sports section is included in each newspaper covering high school sports, auto racing and features on local sports participants. An editorial page runs each Wednesday.

The online version of The Pioneer News, www.pioneernews.net, is an award-winning site now updated on a daily basis.

Special sections are included annually in The Pioneer News, such as the Bullitt County Directory, Back to School section and the Bullitt County Fair book.
