SHEPHERDSVILLE - Outgoing principal Lee Barger wants Bullitt Lick Middle to be a community hub.

Upcoming construction plans are scheduled to improve the overall facility, but Barger also hopes to enhance what is offered inside, including three extra hours for students.

BLMS will become the first school in Bullitt County to host the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana.

Beginning Aug. 22, BLMS students can attend the BGCK program following the regular school day. The programs will take place Mondays through Thursdays from 3-6 p.m.
