Cell phone success

-A A +A

The 21st Century Community Learning Center would like to thank the Bullitt County community for your support of the Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky Cell Phone Drive. Our goal was 1000 cell phones and, with the generous contributions of our community, we surpassed that number. We are now NUMBER ONE in Kentucky for this program!    A special thank you to Bullitt County Public Schools, Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce, Kart Kountry, Apex AT&T, Goodwill, Charlie’s Pizza, Pizza Hut of Hillview, Publishers (Lebanon Junction and Shepherdsville plants), Lebanon Junction First Christian Church and everyone that stopped by and donated their used cell phones.
Your cell phone donations will assist Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky with the funding needed to provide programs and education geared towards preventing the abuse and neglect of Kentucky’s children by - Educating parents, caregivers and the general public regarding never leaving children alone in a vehicle, never shaking a baby, or Internet safety for parents and their children; providing parent education/support groups and providing caregivers and parents with a line of support on 1-800-children - a 24 hour/7 day a week parent resource and referral helpline.
We will continue to collect cell phones for Prevent Child Abuse. There is a drop off box at the Bullitt County Board of Education, Bullitt County Community Education Center, and the Apex AT&T store in Shepherdsville. For more information, please contact Annette Ragg at (502) 869-6801 or (502) 492-1596. Again, thank you for your contribution t the Prevent Child Abuse Cell Phone Drive.
