DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: Spring forward one hour

-A A +A

This weekend is the first Daylight Saving Time weekend of the year.

In this case, we "spring" forward one hour in the spring.

At 2 a.m. Sunday morning, everyone officially switches to 3 a.m.

The Pioneer News reminds everyone not to forget setting your clocks and any devices that do not automatically switch.

It's also a good time to check batteries in smoke detectors, carbon emissions detectors, and any other important household appliances.

Daylight Saving Time will remain in effect through Nov. 4, when we "fall" back one hour in the fall.
