Free app could help Android phone users find college facts

  FRANKFORT — Kentucky residents can now download a free KHEAA Kentucky College Access app for their Android phones. 

The app is provided by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority.

The app helps Kentuckians find information about colleges, including their tuition, enrollment figures, location, student-to-teacher ratio and other useful data.

It also has tips on completing the FAFSA. Users can save their favorites so they can compare them later.

The app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store using an iTunes log-in or through the Android App store. Search for “KHEAA Kentucky College Access.”

KHEAA is the state agency that administers KEES, need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
