Hillview may increase pay range; few would be impacted

By Thomas Barr

HILLVIEW — For the first time in 11 years, the Hillview City Council will look at changing its pay scale for employees.

However, in reality, it will not mean much to a vast majority of current employees.

The council held its first reading and offered a couple of changes to be made by city attorney Tammy Baker prior to a final vote at the Aug. 20 meeting.

Mayor Jim Eadens said while the ordinance will increase the upper limit on salaries, there are only a couple of current workers who are close to the current range.
