MOUNT WASHINGTON - A man has been indicted with having sexual conduct with a minor.
The Bullitt County Grand Jury indicted Jeremy Wayne Browning, 31, of Mount Washington.
Browning was charged with sodomy, two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, incest and being a persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, Browning allegedly had deviate sexual intercourse with a minor less than 12 years of age between June 1, 2009, through April 4, 2010.
This is a Class A felony punishable by 20 years to life in prison.
He was also charged with two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor. Around Oct. 19, 2010, Browning allegedly induced or assisted a minor to engage in a sexual activity.
These are Class B felonies, punishable by 10-20 years in prison.
And he was also charged with incest for having intercourse with someone he knew was a descendent. This is a Class C felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison.
Because Browning was previously convicted of the felony charge of flagrant non-support in 2005, his sentence could be enhanced.
Det. Mike Cook of the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
Browning remains in the Bullitt County Detention Center. His trial is set for March 8, 2010.
