HEBRON ESTATES - Two schools and a church combined efforts once again to bring a more joyous Thanksgiving holiday to area families.

Okolona Christian Church collected food items for 27 families with students from North Bullitt High School and Hebron Middle School.

The church works in conjunction with the NB/HMS Youth Services Center. The program works with the schools to determine families in need of assistance.

Members of the Watts Family help to transport donation boxes from Okolona Christian to Hebron Middle. The food was transported this year via limousine.

Family representatives collected boxes from the Hebron Youth Services Center office in the afternoon during school time, keeping the donations anonymous for the sake of the involved students.

Each box contained a gift card voucher for a turkey, along with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, canned vegetables and yams, canned pumpkin and pie mix.
