PIONEER VILLAGE - Plans to create a school resource officer are on hold at the Pioneer Village Police Department.
Mayor Gary Hatcher said he joined police chief D.J. Reynolds in a meeting with Bullitt County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Cook and Sarah Smith, director of Safe and Drug-Free Schools for the Bullitt County Public Schools system.
The meeting was in regards to Pioneer Village assisting in creating an SRO for North Bullitt High School, located in the city of Hebron Estates, where Pioneer Village is contracted to patrol.
