HILLVIEW -- Police are looking for a white male who reportedly robbed the Hillview branch of PBI Bank Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at the bank located near the intersection of Preston Highway and Rogers Avenue, near Hillview Boulevard.

Soon after the robbery, a second attempt took place at the United Bank on the courner of Old Preston Highway and E. Hebron Lane.

Pioneer Village Police Chief D.J. Reynolds said nothing was taken from United after employees recognized the potential suspect and scared him away.

Reynolds said United employees were unaware of the PBI robbery at the time the suspect entered their location.

The white male was 5-foot-8, with brown hair, wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, gloves, and a black University of Louisville hat with a red "L" logo on the front. Reynolds said he appeared to be in his mid-to-late 20s.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

Hillview Police, Pioneer Village Police and Louisvile Metro Police are working together on the investigation.
