ROADSHOW for the week of March 11, 2018

 Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

Bullitt County:

KY 44 (Old Mill Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with Bogard Lane/Lloyd Lane (mile marker 18.5) due to turning lane construction. Lane closures are possible nightly from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

KY 61 (Preston Highway): Lane closures and delays between KY 44 and Hillbrook Drive (mile marker 14.5 to 17.7) due to roadway widening and realignment. Motorists should watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road): Lane closures and delays possible between the Lickskillet Creek Bridge and the Bullitt/Nelson County line (mile markers 3.3 to 11.7) due to drainage and safety improvements.

Jefferson County:

Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays possible at various exit ramps in Jefferson County due to sign replacement work. Lane closures are possible weekdays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. All ramps will remain open during this work.

Interstate 265/KY 841 East (Gene Snyder Freeway): The right lane will be closed between I-65 and Preston Highway (mile markers 10.0 and 11.5) due to concrete pavement repairs. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 9 and be completed by 5 a.m. on Monday, March 12.

Interstate 265/KY 841 South (Gene Snyder Freeway): The exit ramp to I-64 East (Exit 25A) will be closed for replacement of wiring and conduit for overhead lighting. This ramp is scheduled for closure on Sunday, March 11 from 7 a.m. until noon. Motorists can detour this area via I-265 South to KY 155 (Exit 23), access I-265 North and continue to I-64 East.

US 31: Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction on the Clark Memorial Bridge over the Ohio River (mile markers 0.0 to 1.1) due to bridge cleaning and painting. Additional lane closures are possible in the evenings from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Traffic will be directed through the work zone during those hours using flagging operations. Sidewalks are closed to pedestrians and cyclists.

KY 841 South (Gene Snyder Freeway): Left lane closed in the East End Tunnel (mile marker 37.0) due to water system repairs. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Repairs to be completed by mid-March.

Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible on the ramps at the Old Henry Road interchange (Exit 29) due to installation of traffic detection loops.

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and sidewalk closures in place between Greenwood Road and Heaton Road (mile markers 11.7 to 14.5) due to construction for access management and bus rapid transit lines. Roadway is reduced to two lanes on northbound Dixie Highway between Greenwood Road and Blanton Lane and two lanes on southbound Dixie Highway between Heaton Road and Upper Hunters Trace.

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and delays possible between Stonestreet Road and Pages Lane (mile markers 9.7 to 10.5) due to sidewalk work and asphalt paving. Lane closures are possible weeknights in the northbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and in the southbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Additional lane closures are possible from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

US 42 (Story Avenue): Lane closures and delays possible between US 31E (Main Street) and Frankfort Avenue (mile markers 0.0 to 0.68) due to sidewalk construction. Lane closures are possible daily 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

US 60A (Eastern Parkway): Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction between Poplar Level Road and Royal Avenue (mile markers 5.5 to 5.9) due to bridge replacement. Speed limit in work zone is reduced to 25 mph.

KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway) South: Lane closures and delays possible at intersection with Taylorsville Road (mile markers 10.9 to 11.1) due to extension of turning lanes. Lane closures are possible Sunday – Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

KY 3084 (Old Henry Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Nelson Miller Parkway and Terra Crossing Boulevard (mile marker 0.8 to 1.4) due to installation of traffic detection loops.

Franklin County:

US 60 (East Main Street): Lane closures and delays possible between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Douglas Avenue (mile marker 9.3 to 9.7) due to overhead walkway construction. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 35 MPH.

Henry County:

Oldham County:

KY 22 (Ballardsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 329 in Crestwood (mile marker 3.2) due to curb work for turning lane construction. Lane closures and delays are possible daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and in the evenings from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Shoulder closures are possible at all times. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 25 MPH. Asphalt paving of the roadway will take place in the spring.

KY 53: Lane closures and delays possible near Blakemore Lane (mile marker 4.4) due to construction of a new route. Motorists should be aware of new alignment and watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

KY 2857 (New Moody Lane):  Construction delays possible near Forrest Park Drive (mile marker 1.0) due to new route construction. 

Shelby County:

Interstate 64: Shoulder closures and delays possible from just east of the KY 55 interchange (Exit 32) to the weigh station (mile markers 32.2 to 38.5) due to construction sign installation and ditching work.

Spencer County:

KY 2885 (West River Road): Roadway is closed at the bridge over Simpson Creek (mile marker 2.6) due to damage from flooding. Repair work will be completed by late March.
