     SHEPHERDSVILLE – Thanks to changes in the latest Census figures, Bullitt County roads will get a little extra work in the coming fiscal year.

  • Bardstown PD still seek assistance on Ellis murder

     KSP Post 4 Detectives are asking for the public's help regarding the murder of Ofc. Jason Ellis with the Bardstown Police Department.

    We are asking any residents in and around Nelson County that may have had trees trimmed or removed from their property or observed someone trimming or removing trees around the time of Ofc. Ellis' murder to please call Post 4 at (270) 766-5078 or email me at norman.chaffins@ky.gov.

    Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice. 

    Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  

    Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

  • HOLY SMOKE: Broken air vent fills Shepherdsville FBC

     An air conditioning malfunction led to smoke inside the First Baptist Church facilities Wednesday afternoon.

    Shepherdsville Fire Department responded to a fire alarm sounding at the church after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

    Chief Layne Troutman said a belt on the air conditioning unit on the roof of the church broke and caught fire. The fan of the unit blew smoke into the third floor of the building.

  • Memorial Day 2013

     The 21st annual Memorial Day Service was hosted at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. This year the ceremony honored the wounded warriors.

    The ceremony started with the presentation of colors and concluded with Taps.

    Other countywide Memorial Day ceremonies included an annual event at the Lebanon Junction Post Office, hosted by the VFW Post 8293 and Ladies Auxiliary.

    Guest speakers at the post office included Rep. Brett Guthrie and Post 8293 Quartermaster Kenneth C. Fehl, a World War II Navy veteran.

  • One injured as fire truck overturns on Hwy. 480

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - A firefighter received minor injuries after a ladder truck flipped over Monday afternoon.

  • Constable arrested on drug charges

     The Bullitt County Sheriffs Office reported an arrest of county constable Clifton Joel Hudson on Tuesday.

    Det. Mike Murdoch of the Sheriffs Department released the following statement:

    On May 28, 2013,  at approx. 1545 hours, the Bullitt County Sheriffs Office High Intensity Drug Enforcement Unit (HIDE) arrested Constable Clifton Joel Hudson of Meadow View Drive in Mount Washington for Trafficking in Controlled Substance.

  • KSP looking for clues in death of officer

     BARDSTOWN - The Kentucky State Police is calling upon the public to assist in the investigation of the shooting death of Bardstown police officer Jason Ellis.
