     Tiffany Calfee, daughter of Katie Wyatt and Mark Calfee, and Lucas Johnson, son of Susan and Todd Johnson, were selected 2013 homecoming queen and king at North Bullitt High School.

  • BBB Warns: Don’t Fall for Do Not Call Scam

     Scammers have been making phone calls posing as representatives of the National Do Not Call Registry. The calls claim to provide an opportunity to sign up for the registry or ask consumers to verify their information. Of course, the callers are really trying to solicit personal information, which opens victims up to identity fraud.

  • County agrees to contract for consultant to begin work on land-use plan

          SHEPHERDSVILLE - It was a quick night for members of the Bullitt County Joint Planning Commission in January.

         With only two rezoning requests on the docket, planners had time to thank county officials for their acceptance of a proposal to have Kriss Lowery and Associates begin work on updating its comprehensive land-use plan.

         Planning attorney Tammy Baker is still working on a revised contract to be signed by all parties. The contract would include the scope of work.

  • Bernheim all abuzz with workshop set for beekeeping

     CLERMONT - Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest will host a buzz worthy program. this weekend.

    Bee Curious: An Afternoon with Phil Craft will take place Saturday, Feb. 16, 1 – 4 p.m. at the Bernheim Education Center.

    Whether you’re curious about becoming a beekeeper or just interested in learning more about one of nature’s most fascinating creatures, this session offered by Phil Craft is sure to enlighten. 

    Craft will cover the basics of getting started as a beekeeper, as well as honeybee biology.

  • 2013 BC Hoops Homecoming

     Kristin Collins, daughter of Rick and Tammie Collins, and Bradley Combs, son of Matt Combs and Shelly Combs, were selected the Bullitt Central Homecoming Queen and King on Tuesday evening.

  • Southern pulls away late to beat North in district clash

          HEBRON ESTATES – A pair of back-to-back games within the 23rd District ended with a split and a probably third-place seed for North Bullitt in the upcoming tournament that the Eagles will host next week.

         On Tuesday, North Bullitt had numerous chances to stay close with Southern, but a two minute stretch at the of the third quarter pushed the Trojans forward and they won 50-35.

         A night later, the green and gold bounced back in fine form as they blew past Evangel 76-42.

  • BC boys play well but fall to Moore

          SHEPHERDSVILLE – No coach will rest his or her laurels on moral victories.

         But Bullitt Central head coach Joe Pat Lee was very proud of his team’s effort on Tuesday night against one of the top teams in the Sixth Region.
