  • Greer on session accomplishments, work to be done

     FRANKFORT – Although several major issues are still pending, the General Assembly wrapped up much of its work early last week, and for a “short” legislative session, there is a fairly long list of key bills that have made it to Governor Beshear’s desk.

     FRANKFORT – The General Assembly is now recessed for a ten-day veto period and will return on March 25 for the final two days of the 2013 Session.

    While consensus hasn’t been reached on important bills dealing with industrial hemp, public employee pension reform, and military overseas absentee voting, the Senate is ready and willing to work on these unresolved issues.

     FRANKFORT - The final few days of the 2013 Session of the Kentucky General Assembly wound down in a flurry of bills being passed between the House and Senate, and work remaining on other bills when we return for the final two days in more than a week.  But it was a simple debate on one bill that could sum up this year’s entire session.

     My name is Robert Huff , as you know by now I have rental property here in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. I have always tried to be a good citizen and pay my bills. But you have caused me considerable amount of problems with the contract you signed with Eco-Tech. 

  • Attend fiscal court

     With the next primary elections for Bullitt County Fiscal Court 14 months away, I would like to encourage all the residents of Bullitt County to attend two or more of the 28 (as of this writing) Fiscal Court meetings before the primary in 2014. 

  • Property rights?

      There are several issues with Representative Floyd’s defense of the so-called “property right.” He claims business owners have which would allow them to avoid any requirement that they ask smokers to smoke outside the building.
