SHEPHERDSVILLE – The month of February has turned out pretty well to this point for the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars.

Sharpe connected on seven three-pointers in the win.

“Boyd County had a hard time containing him,” Bullitt East head coach Bob Blackburn said later. “Plus, his teammates did a nice job of finding him.”

LEXINGTON – The number 13 was certainly a bad number for the Bullitt Central boys’ bowling team on Friday at the Ebonite/Kentucky State Championships at Collins Eastland Bowling Center in Lexington.

After qualifying fifth out of the 16 teams in the early bowling, the Cougars advanced to the quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory over Apollo High School. That set up a match with Scott County to be played on lanes 13 and 14.

SHEPHERDSVILLE – After some down seasons, the Bullitt Central wrestling program is making strides to once again be a regional and state contender.

That was certainly the point on Saturday as the Cougars finished fourth in the Region Three event which was contested at North Bullitt.

Bullitt Central finished with 124 points, fueled by the strong finishes of senior brothers Mark Saunders who won the 195-pound division and Michael Saunders who finished second at 182-pounds.
