  • 2013 - The Year in Review

As coaches are often fond of saying - ‘it was a good year, but it was not a great year.’

It wasn’t until December that there was a KHSAA State Championship when Bullitt Central brought home the Co-Ed Cheerleading title.

That makes five straight ‘years’ in which Bullitt County athletes have brought home a state title.

There were a few runner-up finishes at the State Track and Field championships including two by junior Meghan Roby.

  • Bullitt East Classic displays...

MOUNT WASHINGTON Ð ItÕs going to be a wide-open season amongst the top girlsÕ teams in the Jefferson County area this season and that was certainly on display in the Vision First/Schmid Funeral Home Bullitt East Classic the weekend before Christmas.

SHEPHERDSVILLE Ð Forced to play two games in one day after driving to Bowling Green for the Warren East Christmas Tournament proved to be just a little too much for the Bullitt Central Cougars on the weekend prior to Christmas.

  • East Running Club has a powerful...

MOUNT WASHINGTON – To build a top-flight athletic program, you have to start young.

Bullitt East track and cross-country coach Lenny Raley saw that up close when he was an assistant basketball coach in the Lady Charger program a few years ago. Wanting more for his runners, Raley dropped the basketball gig and started the East Running Club.

The early results have been impressive as a lot of young runners have joined the program and the results on the course have been strong.
