  • Courtney back as NB coach after...

HEBRON ESTATES - Brian Courtney did not expect to see himself sitting on the sidelines coaching the North Bullitt Eagle basketball team this season.

At least not after his promotion to assistant principal this fall.

But Courtney has indeed returned to the bench to complete the rest of the season for the Eagles.

On Jan. 6, 2014, Dick Briggs was terminated from his position as head basketball coach for North Bullitt.

  • Lady Chargers maul Manual

SHIVELY - Coaches don’t often smile about their team’s performance -- especially in the middle of the season.

But, if one caught a glimpse of Chris Stallings on Saturday night, you might have seen a smile, ever so slight and ever so brief.

And, if he did smile, the veteran coach of the Bullitt East Lady Chargers deserved it.

The Lady Chargers went to the Allgood Hoops Run-N-Shoot Classic at Pleasure Ridge Park and did just that.

  • Troutman's free throw sends...

MOUNT WASHINGTON-- In a game in which they led just twice, and never by more than two points, the Bullitt East Chargers drew last blood and pulled out a remarkable 53-52 win over 24th District rival Fern Creek on Thursday in a game delayed two days by the extreme cold weather earlier in the week.

  • Court-length pass gives Lady...

SHELBYVILLE-- Do you believe in miracles?
The North Bullitt Lady Eagles certainly do after pulling an incredible game out of the fire on Wednesday in Shelbyville when they defeated Martha Layne Collins 69-68 on a court-length pass and then a short left-handed jumper by sophomore Erin Dolan that all happened in the final three seconds.
The win, the 11th in 12 games for the green and gold, came after they had given up a 20 point lead in the first half and squandered a 54-46 lead heading into the final frame.

  • Defense powers Lady Chargers

MOUNT WASHINGTON-- Pushed back two days because of cold weather, the Bullitt East Lady Chargers still made it look easy on Thursday as they cruised past 24th District rival Fern Creek 69-30.
It was another outstanding defensive effort for the red and gold as they moved to 10-2 on the season. In the ten wins, the Lady Chargers have not allowed more than 43 points in any of those games and those opponents are averaging just over 33 points a contest.

  • Wrestling Back in Action
