I had the opportunity to serve as the Bullitt County Friends of Scouting chair for 2023. This year, it was our pleasure to honor Tom Miller, the CEO of U of L Health, for his dedication to our community and to families in our community.
I would like to thank the three Bourbon Hall of Fame attendees for their help. Thanks to Bullitt County Judge/Executive Jerry Summery and to Jim Beam for the support over the years. Thanks to Cousin Bill Samuels Jr. for 46 bottles of Makers. Thanks to Chris the master distiller emeritus for signing the etched Woodford bottles. Also, thanks to Ean Comer for getting the etching done and to dear friend Dr. Henry Sadlo for all his help.
Tom Miller personifies what the Boy Scouts stand for – good citizenship, outstanding moral fiber with dedication to others, and for living by the Scout Oath and Law.
Over 100 community and business leaders from the Bullitt County area attended to s how their support to Tom and our local Boy Scout council. I appreciated Judge Summers and the many other Bullitt County government officials who were able to attend and to give their support.
I have never been more proud of our Bullitt County community of supporters that gathered on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Paroquet Springs Conference Centre.
Thank you to all who came out and shared their treasure with the Scouts.
