CLERMONT -- Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest invites you to embark on a cosmic adventure this April with exciting events showcasing our solar system’s beauty and wonder.
Join Dan Price, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, and a distinguished member of Bernheim’s Volunteer Naturalists team, for a celestial experience like no other.
Kick off the festivities with the Pre-Eclipse Star Party on Friday, April 5, from 7:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. at the Garden Pavilion Parking Lot.
Witness the magic of the solar system through telescope observations guided by our knowledgeable Volunteer Naturalists and enjoy a laser-guided exploration of Bernheim’s night sky.
Admission is $12 for members and $15 for non-members, with a maximum capacity of 40 participants.
SOLAR-BRATION - (almost)Total Solar Eclipse “Solar-bration”
As the moon casts its shadow over the Earth in a rare celestial event on April 8,
Bernheim invites you to the Solar-bration from 1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Experience the eclipse safely with eclipse viewing glasses, engage in solar-themed activities, and create homemade solar eclipse viewers using recycled materials.
Food trucks and a celestial-themed menu at Isaac’s Café will add to the out-of-this-world atmosphere.
The Solar Celebration will occur mostly around the Visitor Center, where telescopes with solar filters will be available for safe viewing.
Don’t miss the opportunity to climb the Fire Tower from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. for a unique perspective as the Earth prepares for this extraordinary event.

Solar-bration Eclipse Event
Time: 1:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M. (maximum sun cover at 3:07 P.M.)
Location: Activities mostly around the Visitor Center
Admission: Free Event - $15 per vehicle suggested donation applies
Remember, viewing the eclipse with unprotected eyes can cause permanent vision damage. Eclipse viewing glasses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 1:30 P.M. Sunglasses do not provide adequate protection.
Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is located on Highway 245 at the Interstate 65 Exit 112.
It is open every day except major holidays. The public is invited and donations are encourged.
